I am using the Butel software (registered), and found I could move the system files from my old 996T into the new XT program, which I did. However, it seems as though the conventional channels work well, but the P25 9600 baud digital won't recieve even though they show up in the system.
Any ideas???

MY 2 guesses..

1) Make sure to check the BANDPLAN settings (if UHF or VHF) ... the XT's needs a upper and lower freq (the older ones did not)
When importing directly you need to add or to have the software calculate your bandplans.

Go to the trunking system, then site, then general, then Edit Moto Bandplan, calculate "upper"

2) ensure Control Channel ONLY is clicked off, the new units need it, the old units did not.

I assume that you're talking about P25 Trunked systems.

Make sure on the BCD996XT they're programed as P25 standard. (Most likely)

That's different than on the BCD996T (Motorola Type 2/P25)

Here on the ILL-Starcom 700/800 Dig-P259600 baud system you do not set the bandplan, its automatic on 9600 only on 3600 mix-mode...Most likely the software changed your system from P25-9600baud to a Moto Type11 3600 baud....Make sure its set to "P25-AUTO".....

I should have added, if its UHF or VHF check the bandplan.

Did you import the TG's as well?

I found on the Arc-XT software it does not import UHF bandplans. The software will set the bandplan to 800 MHz standard. I had to manually edit the bandplans for each site.
