If you are talking about the unique Radio ID number programmed for each radio on a P25 System, yes.

In the Settings Menu, the Disp. Unit ID has to be On.

What I did was create a separate group in my programming software called "Unit IDs". In the Talkgroup column, I entered the six digit number with an "i" in front of the number. (The 96XT series requires the "i" in front of the number). In the Alpha Tag column, I entered a description of what that number was.

For Example (with Unit 8001's mobile radio having an ID number of 180010):

Talkgroup Alpha Tag
i180010 8001 Mobile

(Couldn't figure out how to tab this to align the columns)

This will work on Motorola Type II analog trunk systems too. Note: The scanner will stop on all transmissions from those radios, regardless of talk group, including private calls and phone patches.

Ok,heres one Ive been pondering for a bit...

How dose the 996XT/396XT show Patches,vs ICalls,vs RadioIDs?

Systems Ive been monitoring in a couple different states will show up in either a
4 or 5 digit format..

example...UID: i12345 or UID: i1234...

My GREs will indicate a patch vs a normal RID...But the Unidens only show the i12345

how to tell,or is there a setting to tweak for the readout..
