hello again everyone its been a while but you guys always give me the best answer! My uniden scanner is not recieving signals very well and i didnt know if anyone else was having any issues? Ive eliminated the antenna as a possibility as i have another uniden scanner thats works flawlessly with the same antenna. I looked inside the radio and noticed a piece soldered from the tip to the ground of the antenna because t was soldered i assume it does belong but was under the impression you never want your tip and ground of an antenna to touch? Could this be the reason for my poor reception?
