Oh my. I have a bad feeling that I'm at the tail end of a pretty long line then - I ordered from Scanner Master on 12/3. Just sent them an email asking when I can expect them to be shipping my scanner. I'll update the group with what I hear back. Jealous of all you Hamstation buyers who already have their radios. Lesson learned - I'll be ordering from them next time. It's tempting to cancel the Scanner Master order and get one from Jeff, but Rich and I go way back and I wanted to give him the business as a way to say "thank you" for his help with Police Call. So Rich, if you're reading this, do me a solid and ship my scanner would ya?

I'm hoping it ships today. I'd like to think that bunches of pre-orders were cancelled when other vendors started shipping before they did, therefore moving us both up in line quite a bit... let's hope.
I really don't want to cancel this order after waiting so long but the waiting is driving me nuts. Still no response either, but no doubt they are swamped with phone calls, emails and orders. It's madness, I'm sure - I don't think there's ever been a scanner that has generated more buzz than these units.EDIT: Just got the email: MY ORDER HAS SHIPPED!!!! FINALLY! Best news I've had all week! Thank you Scanner Master!

We received 60 of the 436HP just this morning, so anyone who pre-ordered before Jan.19 is shipping today (Friday, 1/31). Look for emails from both Universal Radio and UPS later this evening confirming your order shipped and providing tracking info.
Another 24 scanners are estimated to arrive in store on Monday, which should take care of any orders we received between the 19th and the 30th.

Good for you, slvbeard. I preordered thru the HRO website in December, and was contacted over a week ago by the Atlanta HRO wanting the rest of the money. I paid and have talked to them several times asking about the order. I keep getting different stories every time from some not nice people who won't give me any kind of time frame of when to expect the 436. It sucks for me, AND them. I am facing mandatory retirement soon and am looking at building my dream ham station. Guess where I won't be ordering from.
Hope everybody else who ordered through HRO has better luck, like yours. Has anybody gotten any good info or a 436 from Atlanta yet?

They got their shipment today, and backorders are going out. Just got my tracking number; expected Tuesday. Now I can spend my time reloading the UPS page instead of this one... right, Dewey?

Either Scanner Master has not shipped my 436 preorder or they did not send me a shipping email. I am going to call them on Monday and cancel my order if it has not shipped and order from one of the dozen or so sellers that have them in stock and are ready to ship. I thought that "All of the pre-orders will start shipping on Friday, January, 31, 2014." like they said but I guess not : (

Finally got my taxes submitted. I can finally order the 436, but I don't know if I should. AHHH!
My county goes to their new P25 with "Some police Encrypted" According to the main guy. I just dont want to get it and it becomes a paperweight. Hmm.
