HRO

HRO shows them in stock in Salem, NH. No matter what store processed your payment (Atlanta in your case) they usually ship from the closest store _that_has-stock.

Good for you, slvbeard. I preordered thru the HRO website in December, and was contacted over a week ago by the Atlanta HRO wanting the rest of the money. I paid and have talked to them several times asking about the order. I keep getting different stories every time from some not nice people who won't give me any kind of time frame of when to expect the 436. It sucks for me, AND them. I am facing mandatory retirement soon and am looking at building my dream ham station. Guess where I won't be ordering from.

Hope everybody else who ordered through HRO has better luck, like yours. Has anybody gotten any good info or a 436 from Atlanta yet?

Received my BCD436HP from BearCat Warehouse today. Updated the Firmware and DB ok.
Saw an error message reference the "driver" but it seems to be working ATT.

Had a couple favorites I created in Sentinel prior to arrival and loaded them into the scanner however I can't get the quick keys to work or get it to scan the favorites. I guess I will have to start from scratch.

I am also experiencing the loud squelch tail issues described in this thread.

I received my shipping notice from Scanner Master today. (1/31/14) I guess Friday was their day to ship out their preorders.
No progress yet on the UPS tracking site. I don't think too much happens with UPS on the weekends. So I will look for updated tracking info, and an ETA on Monday. :roll:

I preordered a 436 also from Scanner Master also. I received my shipping notice last night also but at one point it said I would receive it tues. After that it said no progress.

I ordered mine from Bearcatwarehouse last weekend after comparing shipped costs and locations. They're not far from me apparently. Their site said they expected to ship on the 30th I think. Mine shipped on the 28th or 29th and I had it on the 30th.

Hamstation

I was faced with a decision this week because HRO did not have the 436 on Wednesday but many others did. Amazon's vendor had them with an included $15 premium, most likely for shipping. Their own website had them for $499 with free shipping. After thinking about it over night I chose to buy from the Hamstation because they used to come to the local hamfest in Rochester, NY when many other vendors did not. Even though I may have paid a few dollars more I am happy to support a business that supports my hobby.

Once I made that decision I ordered the 436 on Thursday morning, it shipped Thursday evening and I received it today, Saturday. I couldn't be more satisfied.

I'm out here in the country in this 1 horse town and dont need all those features. I will go back to my bc350a. It works great and mine came from HRO out of Atlanta also and great customer service. Mine set in bham for 3 days due to our snow demise.

Got mine from Scannermaster...I checked the provided tracking number link in my email (from them) and it goes to UPS site which has In Transit and where it was last checked in. Has arrival date of Wednesday *COB.

I got on UPS website and created an account with My Choice. Go into access my ups choice and a calendar will come up with your delivery date. Mine come tomorrow.

I spoke with ScannerMaster a while ago, and they stated that mine should be shipping today if their allocation arrives, otherwise it will be tomorrow.

I ordered 436 on Dec. 26 from Scanner Master. I emailed them over the weekend and they got back to me this morning and said, "It's shipping today."

Wow my 436 order from Scanner Master still has not shipped "Order Status: Pending Shipment" even after they said, "It's shipping today." and that is after they said, "All of the pre-orders will start shipping on Friday, January, 31, 2014" and that is after they said "The BCD436HP will begin shipping on Thursday, January 30th." WTH

When I received my 436 I noticed two things:

1. No sales receipt, I suppose they may send it to me later via e-mail. However, for warranty work it will be needed. I don't know if the charge on my credit card for the radio will work or not.

Amazon at random times has started not sending receipts with their orders. I was told to download the receipts from their website and then print them off. They told me on the phone that they felt the companies would accept them a valid bills of sales.

2. The clear circular security tape over the tab on the end of the box was not present. However, from all I could tell the box has not been opened except to be loaded at the factory. The tab and end-flap on the box was very stiff and all the components appeared to have not been disturbed. So, I think this may be a case where the item was not meant to be set out for the public so no security seal was needed.

My understanding has always been that official receipt (Amazon calls them "Invoices") can be printed from your Amazon account from the "Your Orders" page then click "Invoice" right under the order date. Usually any paper receipt that comes with the package is just a packing slip. Most of the time there isn't even a packing slip with my orders (less than 50% of the time)
