BCSO E tones patched to DPS

Anyone know why the BCSO fleetwide channel is patched to DPS San Antonio (155.445)? I'm also noticing a lot of encrypted traffic on an FBI frequency (170.8125)

DPS 155.445 on the old pro voice system also had the city e-tones patched. They might start that up again, at least on the county side. The DPS SA group on the AARRS channel has been patched with the VHF side a lot more recently, with many comm checks all over the county and even out in Boerne and Pleasanton. The system has a good reach out of the county. Most DPS troopers in major cities use the area trunked systems for daily ops. Austin area, Houston, etc... Maybe DPS around here will make the switch with the VHF patched or as a fallback.

As for the FBI....Its the FBI. They have everything encrypted.
