BCT 15 front on a 996

Hi all -

Several forums have mentioned using the BCT15 front on a 996 to get the black look, especially for mobile installations. Has anyone had success with this? Looking to install in my tahoe and checking on the aesthetics of it.

Good question. Myself, I think I'm fixin' to just take some dark grey spray paint to the face plate of my 996s, so that it matches the background of the buttons. It's not black, but it's a definite improvement.

They should have totally made the 15 silver and the 996 black. After all, cheap cameras and other electronics are silver, the premium stuff is black.
