BCT-15 w/ Garmin GPS (How to make cable)

I was able to get my Garmin GPSMAP 296 working with the BCT-15 today. Here is some information that may be helpful to other Garmin owners:

Only 2 of the 9 pins are used on the BCT-15 scanner for GPS functionality:
Pin #2 = GPS Data Out
Pin #5 = Ground

You can find which color these 2 cables are on your particular Garmin GPS Unit by referring to this document:

I picked up a female 9-pin connector at Radio Shack and spliced into my existing GPS cable and everything works fine.
