can anyone tell me if the NMEA 1083 version is as critical as I am making it out to be? Is V3.1 the minimum version or will previous version work as well? I am looking at getting a GlobalSAt BU-353 receiver (cost mostly) and its specs say it is v2.2. Am I looking too deep into this or what? I think I am, but would appreciate some input. Thanks
