Well....I set out to figure out how to get my scanner to feed to my iPhone and I have succeeded....(in a round about way).

I became a feed provider for Scanamerica.us and downloaded an iPhone application called Wunder Radio, (cost was $5.99 for the app), which provides a link to Scanamerica. I can now use my iPhone to remotely monitor my scanner from anywhere. I like the idea of connecting to my car audio so I can avoid traffic jams. VERY COOL!

It is very cool. I'm sure that most people on here have done some pretty cool things with their scanners. I've been scanning now for a couple of weeks and am having a blast figuring the tech aspect of it all out.

I discovered that using either Wunder Radio or FStream on my iPhone keeps me from receiving phone calls.....this is a deal breaker for me....have to be available. :(

Wunder Radio update v. 1.3 just came out for the iPhone and it fixed a couple of problems.

With the iPhone firware update 2.2 the radio would shut down whenever the phone goes to sleep. The update keeps the feed going even after the phone goes to sleep.

I tested out another problem that I had.....I called my cell phone while I was listening to a scanner feed on the updated Wunder Radio and the cell phone rang and took the call!! I'm a happy camper again.

So if I do this in NY is it legal?
Since this is not a "radio receiving set" I'd have to vote for legal.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :D

Sounds like a cool idea. I have to look into it for my new BB Bold.

What? No Blackberry app???

Nexus, what do you use?

Verizon Wireless subscriber, and I'm using a Samsung SCH-i760 running Windows Mobile 6. The software I'm using is Pocket Player which works with .mp3 and .m3u files. http://www.conduits.com/products/player/
