BCT-15 Software

Butel, bcTool, and Freescan are 3 that come to mind. Butel and Freescan are both found in this forum, Google bcTool.

BCtool has no help files for the trunking. Freescan I couldn't figure out. Win95 was so easy to use. It's a shame there isn't one for it.

Google? HAH Just look at the wiki article for the BCT15 - all the software has links there...

http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/BCT15

Also there is the link for the Easier to Read manual for the BCT15- highly recommended, especially if you have programmed older radios before. DMA radios are a whole 'nother animal - remember, no banks....

BCTool is freeware and it's being developed by a guy in England. Some of the trunking used over there isn't used here. Which is not to say he won't get it right at some point, I think he will. OTOH, if you want something that is developed and has a help file as well as email support, get ARC15Lite. It does all the programming you want, you just won't have the stuff you probably don't need like virtual control and audio recording.
