Hi Paul,
My BCT-15 is continuously stopping on a Motorola control channel, I seem to recall that there will be a new firmware version out soon?, will this version fix this issue?
I do have the newest version in the 15 as we speak.
Thanks

Ron

Odds are you have it incorrectly programmed... Try checking things again...

hey buddy
that sounds odd, havent heard of it happening before.

Try to re-program it (just in case something went a-miss)
Are you programming by hand? ARC? USAD? other free software?

good luck hope you get it worked out...

Been there, done that. Using ARC and still stopping as of this morning.
Thanks

You're picking up a Fleetnet control channel.

Are you using control channel only mode? If so, don't do that.

Yes, I was using the control channel only for some reason, usually I don't but I guess it slipped when I programmed this system.

Do you know what Fleetnet tower I am hitting Andrew?, I quickly looked through the Fleetnet frequencies and could not find a control channel using those frequencies.

Will see how it goes now, thanks for everyone's input!:)

The Uniden scanners frequently mis-decode the control channel data; it's why you see bogus talkgroups submitted by users. Whenever your scanner decides that the Barrie system has an active voice comm on Edgar's control channel, you're hosed if you're using CC Only.

If you don't use CC Only, the scanner knows it should ignore it. Does the 15 display the frequency of the voice channel being tuned (or can you query it with software)? That would tell you what it's locking on to.
