On my scanner its scanning the tv radio freqs. How do i get it so its only scanning the public safety channels.

Are you using software to program the scanner? If you are using the Uniden program, UASD, click on Configuration Editor... then Service Search tab... under status column you can double click on the lockout/unlocked choices to block what you want.
