BCT-15X programming

Is there anyone out there who can program my BCT-15X to pick up 800 MHZ transmissions? I'm a lost ball in high weeds with trying to program this beast. Primarily all that I am interested in is receiving Fire Department transmissions. Thank you.

Do you have the programming cable and software such as FreeSCAN? If so, I can make you a file with the Jefferson County trunk system and area conventional frequencies programmed, no hiring necessary.

Almost all talkgroups on the Jefferson County trunk system are P25 digital, however, so you won't be able to hear them with your BCT-15. Only a few of the smaller fire departments on the system are analog. The good news is most of the fire departments using P25 on the system simulcast their traffic on VHF and UHF analog frequencies. There is also a few that still use VHF/UHF primarily.

In the meantime, you may find this easier to read manual helpful.

Can anyone tell me how to change the alabama location that is set by default on the bct15x....i live in washington state and would like to change it...ive looked everywhere and cant find the place to change location!!

Press POL once to turn on a state. Press Function then VOL. Scroll to 'Your State' and press E/ to save and exit. Press POL until all icons disappear again.
Note: District of Columbia, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and the Canadian provinces don't work in my scanner (??).

if ya talking about any pre programmed stuff that comes with scanner... forget it, its most likely out of date . import the new info from RRDB , or let someone sent you a file?
