BCT-8 programming

I apologize for the idiot question in advance...

I've got a BCT-8 and I'd like to learn how to manually program some 800Mhz frequencies with fleet ID's. Is this all I need to program the freqs. into a trunk bank? If so, how do I manually program that information in? Thanks for the info...

Fleet IDs means trunking, so it would depend on which trunking system you're listening to (or want to). Post that and someone will probably be able to help you. (Look up the system on RR ... http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR)

do you know what type of system your dealing with? motorola I, II, edacs, ltr....?

It's an EDACS system...
