Hello All!

I need some help in programing EDACS Networked Standard with the FreeScann software and seems to be the only system I am having issues with as I am unable to hear anything.

I have the AFS format selected along with the ID scan selected

I change the format after I copy and paste it from the clipboard to show the AFS format

I used the freq. in red when I place them under the site.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You must put all of the LCN's in proper order, not by CC.
What system?

Update:

The odd thing is when I scan the broadcast channels manually, I can heard the broadcast but when I program the freq. with the LCN, I hear nothing. Am I suppose to use the DEC or the AFS number? For example for NHP, For LV 1 the DEC is: 737 and the AFS is: 05-121.

I currently have it set up with AFS and 05-121 is programmed in.

Thanks!

I am trying to program the Nevada Shared Radio System: Nevada Shared Radio System Trunking System, Various, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

I am confused by "all of the LCN's in proper order, not by CC."

I am kind of new to this and not sure of the terms. Thanks for the replys so far!

Here is an example, I choose the first one listed in the database for that system.

001 (1) Thomas and Mack Stadium Clark 01 851.48750 02 853.37500c 03 852.77500 04 851.98750

The advice should have read: You must program all of the frequencies, not just the control channels, and you must associate each frequency with the correct LCN.

I double check and all the LCN match up for the sites I have programmed.

I just checked the firmware and it's not up to date, I will see that fixes the problem.

So...I think I may have figured out the one of the issues.

I ended up digging up a old file I had for NHP and discovered the site frequencies for Sloan are incorrect. I should be able to pick up the frequencies for Mt. Potosi since where the site is about 7000' agl and when I talk on one of the repeaters using my HT (I am a ham) I can access both of the repeaters using 5 watts.

I am lead to think the site frequencies are incorrect, so I doubt it is a firmware issue.

I figured it out....

I didn't realized under EDACS main menu, there was an option for narrow/wide and standard. After I changed it to narrow/wide - all the channels started to work!
