Bct15 Bandscope

What is the purpose of utilizing the BCT15 Bandscope utility, and how can we benefit from feature. In other words I know nothing about it. Please explain. thanks.

This feature allows you to :

• Get a "picture" of spectrum activity across the selected range
• Identify intermittently active frequencies.
• See the relative signal strength of signals in the range

And some more stuff that I'm sure others will chip in with.

Band Scope is a tool that can check the antenna performance, coax quality, coverage areas, interference, etc. Bands of frequencies to sweep are configured in the scanner "Search for..." --> "Edit Custom". Simply hit the start button and let the scanner go into action. The window slider control puts a range of frequencies in view. Some of the bands are interesting. Sweep the bands from 25 MHz to 1300 MHz.

That would be a very useful utility. I have a few different antenna assemblies, so if I get locked on to a few good frequencies and test with some good bandscope monitoring software I should be able to test the quality of each individual antenna setup right. And eventually install the antenna with the best performance working with the frequencies that I normally listen to.

I noticed an error on the ProScan page with the supported scanners. ProScan Band Scope also works with the BCT15 when Uniden updated the firmware.
