Anyone heard of one doing this? Has no display or lights like no power but has a slight clicking noise from speaker. Checked ac adapter and even tried it with a car cigarette adapter but has same symptoms. Can see no faint lcd on display in case maybe back light went out. Thought about trying to fix it as its out of warranty

Also thought about getting it repaired from Uniden but what is their charge like for something this serious and out of warranty?

I'm going to be out of town for a while so might be slow responding...thanks!

Uniden has a flat rate charge to fix scanners out of warranty $49. Try to do a reset,
Press Hold, 2 and 9 keys in while turning on the scanner.

You could have had a power surge. Never have the scanner on when starting your car or plugging it in to an ac outlet.
