I finaly did it!
After strugling with the get-it / don't get it issue for the longest time, I finaly ponied up for an entry level GPS. I purchased the Garmin NUVI 205 W from Staples for under $150 which is pretty decent in my book and fell well within my budget. Now for the big challenge, hooking it up to one of my BCT15s. While this is not what I bought it for, it has intrigued me a lot. My question is, What do those of you who have used a GPS with your scanner think of it? I don't travel a lot with my scanners but I just might now if its worth using one with my new toy.....I would love to hear some comments from those on here who have done this...I am also having trouble finding a cable with a db9 connector on one end and a mini USB the other end.

i don't think the nuvi series will output the GPS in text format (required for uniden) as they are mapping GPS units they were not really made for external parsing of data.

I kind of figured it would not work! Oh well, it works excellent as a GPS anyway! Thanks for the replies guys!

I found a cable and car mount for it too.

It is easy to make a cable but there are lots on ebay with the power adapter built in so you don't have to mess with batteries. Just keep a set of batteries in it so it will not initialize all the time. They don't even have to have a lot of charge in them.
