My bct15 screen went to a scrambled mess, shut off the backlight yesterday while in use.
Unit is setup in house using the supplied 120v power supply
Turning off the scanner does not shut down the scrambled screen, only unplugging the power supply.
bctool would not communicate with the scanner.
It will not turn on, 1,9,hold will not reset it.
l/o, 6 will get the screen to come on clear and backlight to turn on. The firmware tool communicates and as soon as it finished the backlight goes out and the screen goes back to being scrambled, even before you acknowledge the completed message on the update tool. turning off the scanner and turning it back on does nothing. I have downloaded and upziped the firmware a second time and the same results.
I like this scanner, and since they are not exactly of the throw away cost I would like to get it fixed if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
