This is one slick radio. Except for the Beartracker feature which I promptly disabled after receiving it.
I can see why Uniden can't seem to keep them in stock! and they are currently out again.
Anyway, I am planning on doing some heavy mods including adding the addition of a stereo decoder chip, loise noise stereo pre-amp, and integrated MP3 capability as a drop in replacement for the stereo in my truck.
It will be a few months since I want to make sure there are no problems with the radio but I will post schematics in the wiki if everything works out.
Maybe I'll file a patent while I am at it
