Installed the 15x in my pick up today. Mainly used for NJSP particularly troop D parkway and turnpike monitoring. I love these radios.

Thanks guys. Clean easy install. I am updating the antenna. The one I got isn’t great for for 800mhz. I’m getting the NJSP system but it’s choppy when I’m driving. I ordered a tram window antenna. I’ve used these in the past and they work great.

Yep. Some of the TGs on the current system are patched to the new digital system. I monitored both when I was up north a few months ago and it seems like they're in the process of building out the new one still. The time left on the current system is definitely limited.

At least you can easily switch it out to a 536 or SDS200 when the system converts.

I was wondering how you attached the bracket? I have a Charger and wondering if it would hold a 996P2 attached to the plastic console.

It should.
It my one install I put a thin piece of sheet steel folded over through a seam and attached the bracket to that.
