How do I delete the factory programmed frequencies or at least stop them from scanning? I tried 2,9,hold and then turning the unit on but it didn't work.

I wish these were disabled by default. It took me 30 minutes to figure out how to turn them off on my BCT15 when I first powered it up. And they're only marginally useful in my opinion, especially the Beartracker (except for giving older users heart attacks;)). I also got one of the pre-programmed city's stuck on my 346XT; while these are much more useful for some people, it still took a wipe of the memory in Freescan for me to turn it off.

By doing what UP Man said (getting rid of the State programmed freqs, I was able to eliminate the every 2 seconds or so interruption in reception caused by the "Beartracker". Ah, joy. Many thanks.
