BCT15X programming cable

Quick question about the BCT15X programming cable - it appears to be identical to the BCT125AT programming/charging cable I already have. Does anyone know if this is indeed the case? Or do I have to buy a dedicated BCT15X cable? Thanks

I rather doubt that you could use the programming/charge cable from the 125 on the 15 - but I'll let UPMan comment on that for sure

You will need a USB-serial cable for your 15X, regardless. PCs don't have serial ports anymore (at least most of the newer ones...). We have links to numerous common off the shelf models, along with the USB-1 and lots of notes on how to use Device Manager in our wiki...(links are always blue)

Yep, you need a dedicated cable. Can be found on eBay for around $27 or so... New OEM Uniden USB 1 Scanner Programming Cable BCD396 BCD996 BCT15 SC230 | eBay
