I entered a new frequency yesterday into my scanner 159.2275.For some reason it rounded up to 159.2300. Will it not be able to pick up that freq now that rounded it up?

159.2275 is not a valid frequency, neither is 159.300. It's either going to be 159.225 or 159.2325.

Who are you seeing with a 159.2275 frequency?

Its for a repeater frequency used by a surrounding county for fire dispatch. It is the TX side. I got the freq from the guy that programs the radios for that county.

Interesting. There is literally not a single license in the entire FCC system for 159.2275, because it's not a valid frequency step. I would double check with him.

Assuming they are using that frequency for whatever reason, if you program it as 159.225 you should hear it just fine. There is no way to program 159.2275 into the BCT15X, it simply will not accept an invalid frequency.

Make sure you have the steps set correctly in the scanner for VHF High Band 150.800 - 161.995, it should be 7.5 kHz, not 5 kHz.

Menu > Settings > Band Defaults > 150.8 > NFM > 7.5 kHz
