What happens if you turn the selector wheel, does it go to the next channel? And #5 are S05?
What does the display indicate, do you have digits at the bottom that corresponds to the systems that are currently selected, or is it just dashes or stars? If it's stars then the system are avoided so push the corresponding digit. If it says S0 then it's buttons 0-9 and if its S1 its a digit entry 10-19.
If you have enabled GPS mode then it wont scan anything that are out of range that you have programmed for sites or groups and you should turn GPS mode off.
Check prio scan, function+POL button and push several times to toggle between different prio but select No prio for now.
