I have a bct2 circa 1980's that I was thinking of installing in my car. Now I know I can't monitor much since its a pre programmed scanner and its also not digital. But I'm curious as to with narrow banding if I can still monitor analog police frequencies with this radio

Some, probably. The audio will be a little less than what it normally is, since it's a little off the frequency it's used to scanning.

Thanks. What's the best list of frequencies to monitor? Last time It was used it was set to ca. Is some other states programmed list better?

Remember that the pre-programmed frequencies are circa 1980s too, and have probably changed.

I don't think there are too many agencies operating with the same systems they had back in the 1980s.
