Is there a way to get a file or list of all the pre-programmed State freqs from a BCT8 & a BCT15..??

Sorry I thought you meant states.
You would have to write a script to set the state and then read the frequency by advancing each channel.

Why not just download the contents of memory via a program? In the case of the BCT15 (and presumably the 15X), it comes pre-loaded with a copy of various states already in memory (the actual contents are in another area of memory). If you haven't wiped memory before you loaded it, those entries should still be there 73 Mike

Hello Mike... I have not wiped the memory from either scanner. I was wanting a way to get all the pre-loaded entries into a file.

(the actual contents are in another area of memory). Agreed, but how do you access that area of memory?

If you dump the contents into an application, you will have it in an application derived file - from there, at least some programs allow you to dump the contents into a comma seperated values (.csv) file (FreeScan can do this for the BCT15 and 15X) which Excel and many other programs can manipulate. I don't know if ARC8 can do this, but I know Scan Control can - so long as the state data is still in active memory, I think. In fact Scan Control can also do this for the BCT15, but not for the 15X (SC doesn't support the XT models yet).

<sigh> If you haven't wiped memory, your data is going to be mixed in with the original copy of the state's data that was preloaded at the time you bought the scanner home.

AFAIK you can't access the memory area where the original data is stored.

Another way to do this would be to do a complete backup of your current configuration. Do a reinit of the scanner - when it asks you whether you wish to reload data, say YES. Keep in mind this will wipe your current configuration, but it will completely reload all the state data from memory. Download this data then re-upload your desired configuration. This should work for the BCT15 - I'm not sure it would work on the BCT8. It's klunky but doable 73 Mike

I am pretty sure that is included either in your manual, or in the documentation that comes with your scanner.
