BCT996T and CT State Police

I was given a BCD996T. I updated the firmware and put in the CSP and their talkgroups. I don't get anything. Is the site type suppose to be P25, 800Mhz Standard, 800 Mhz Slinter???? i am lost please help.

Actually needs to be "Custom" so you can enter a Custom Band Plan, if the 996T will do that.

It will do that. What is the custom band plan?

Look like this in Freescan.

So it is

Site->Select Site->Edit Band Plan->CUSTOM->Band Plan 1 Enter the values, etc.

Then

Site->Select Site->Edit Band Plan->CUSTOM->Band Plan 2 Enter the values, etc.

It's a lot easier to point and click in Freescan, but it all takes lotsa time.

Ok i will try this. Proscan will not let me do the custom band plan.

It is telling me that the firmware is not updated. I got the latest firmware from Uniden about 3 hours ago????

Think I fixed it. The firmware update did not go in like i had thought. its to early in the morning....
