Seems DSP using their Cessna for speed trap on I-495.
I wasn't in area and was wondering if they use standard TRS radios.

Hello,

It is possible. I hear speed traps everyday on DSP TAC Channels. I don't see why not since Trooper X Helos use the TRS.

That stretch of highway has a 65 mph speed limit. Several of those stopped were travelling in excess of 90 mph. They weren't speeding; they were flying! I hear them on the ATC frequencies down here at the Sussex Airport when they takeoff and land, but when conducting police business I've always heard them on TRS.

I have heard TALK-1 used for speed enforcement on I95.

I was intercepted the operation and TAC1 was used in the clear.
