Hi guys,
My friend has a Bearcat BCD325P2, when we scan for channels, it displays under Macomb County numbers for each station. Each one is different thing, like police, fire, animal control, but they're all displayed as uid's. I want to be able to stop at a channel, like 2879, and stay there. How can I do that?
Right now it just goes between about 15 different ID (channels?), and I just want to stop at 1 and stay there, if you get my drift.

To elaborate: if I use the knob at the top, it will let me select some of the channels that are already in this radio, but it wont let me tune into the more active stations, that are only displayed as a number/ID during a scan.

thanks and best regards,

Wait till you hear a transmission on 2879 and press the HOLD button, scanner will then pause on 2879 and only receive transmissions from that TGID. To go back to regular scan mode press the HOLD button again. That simple.

hold, talkgroup number, hold > holds on a talkgroup.
hold, frequency, hold > listens to a frequency.
the difference is the decimal point.

Disp. Unit ID allows you see the unit ID of the radio currently transmitting on Motorola, EDACS, and APCO P25 systems.
Scroll to 'Disp. Unit ID' and press E/yes.
Scroll to On or Off and press E/yes to save and exit
