Bearcat 996XT Profile

Good Afternoon,

My knowledge of scanner programming is minimal, I typically stick to Unication products. However, I have obtained a BearCat 996XT base scanner that was programmed sometime ago and I believe the programming to be outdated. Updated the control channels manually for Balto County, still not receiving any traffic. Does anyone have a profile they can send me that I can plug into this scanner? If not, any direction on how I can program this via a computer and RR Import would be very helpful. Firmware is 01.07.03 (probably very outdated). Note, I am located in Harford County. Thank you.

Baltimore County is Phase 1.

Baltimore and Harford County systems are both P25 Phase 1 which can be received by your scanner. Both counties use simulcast systems which may give you receive problems depending upon your location. At my location, the SDS100 and SDS200 are the only scanners which will work. I use Butel ARC-XT Basic software to program my BCD396XT, BCD996XT's, BCD325P2, and BCD996P2. I have ARC-XT files for Baltimore and Harford Counties and will be happy to share them with you. I will be sending you a PM.
