I have a Bearcat BC80XLT and sometimes I can put in a 4 digit decimal, and sometimes it will just round up. Why does it seem to have a mind of it's own?
For Example. I can program in the FRS Frequencies perftectly, 462.5875 (6375, 6875) perfectly, and will accept all four decimal places.
But when I go to program my local small town frequency (Used by police during carnivals and Picnics (recently Octoberfest)), which is 159.3975 (WXV931 - Steeleville, IL) it automatically rounds it up to 159.4000.
Why does it do that? Why does it accept others like (and not round off) .5875 (to .5900), or .6375 (to .6400)?
