Bearcat Twin Turbo BC150.

I have a Bearcat Twin Turbo BC 150. Lately, I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear anything and even then it's barely audible. The batteries are new and fully charged, and the frequencies are the same ones I've always listened to. Is the there anything I can do or is the scanner just getting old.

Wow, this is the third thread I've seen on this radio type. Good to see some of the older models in the mix. Did you try some contact cleaner on the volume control? If that doesn't help, I suspect the audio amplifier is dieing, or as someone else mentioned, possibly a capacitor is drying out in the audio circuit.
