BCD436HP/BCD536HP: bearcat warehouse warranty?

I bought a BCD536HP from them last year and also purchased the extra 1 year warranty. In reality it is probably a good idea given the track record for both these units as having numerous issues of one kind or another! My only issue as with others is the difficulty in contacting Uniden either by phone or email. I have tried to call them 3 days straight and have not got through to anyone. When I emailed them they sent me a link for a UPS shipping label that would not print when filled out do to some kind of error apparently with UPS. Re emailed and nothing 4 days later!! At this point it may be possible to contact Bearcat Warehouse since it was purchased through them but I have not done so yet as it is my understanding that Uniden handles warranty issues.

In addition to the clock issues which I read your latest post on today and understand the delay with that. I was having an issue with the scanner freezing up and then not wanting to shut down after turning the unit off. I replaced the Sd card reformatting and clearing user data with sentinel and writing to scanner and it has helped some but have noticed that it still freezes up a few times today but I can now atleast turn it off then back on again. Also this unit has the headphone issue that needs to be repaired as well. Does Uniden handle these warranty issues exclusively and or can I contact Bearcat Warehouse for the needed repairs?

You don't need to speak to anyone. Go to BCD536HP Return Program and enter your scanner information. We'll email you a prepaid shipping label. If you have work other than the headphone repair, be sure to include a detailed description of the other repair(s) and include your receipt if it is under warranty. Proof of purchase date is not required if the only work is on the headphone, but for other repairs, you may be charged if the unit is not in warranty.

The prepaid shipping label is the issue as to why I need to speak to someone from Uniden. When I fill the label out and try to print it, it shows an error and says the shippers shipper number cannot be used for this shipment. My address is not a p.o. box so im not sure what the issue is with the label. When I go back to the BCD536HP return program and re enter my info it says my scanner is already in the repair system. I again have tried to call and email Uniden to no avail including being on hold for over an hour this morning. This scanner is still under warranty and I do have the receipt.
