Beck Taxi

Does anyone have the TX frequencies for Beck Taxi. I want to monitor in simplex as I am trying to see the range they get on their radios. I have tried to use the Industry Canada page to look up frequencies and no joy. apparently 444.4 MHz is not lienced. Hard to believe that every other freq i searched had no luck

Why would 444.400MHz be licensed? That is a ham radio repeater (VE3TWR) in Toronto.

Beck Taxi is in the process of eliminating two way radio (voice), so enjoy listening while it lasts.

Aren't all freq supposed to be licensed?

No, Amateur frequencies aren't licensed in the same way as commercial type stuff. Amateur operators hold a license to operate, and are permitted to do so on any frequency within an amateur band that their license class permits (in Canada, all amateurs are permitted to operate within any amateur band above 50MHz).

A good chunk of their channels are simplex. 150.280 for example, doesn't have a TX frequency, as it is not a repeater.

Go to Toronto County / click on " Other Agencies" / look for "Business" click on it / look for "Submit" / follow format guidelines.

Either VA3DBJ or Forts will take care of it for you.

Did you update the DB with the channel numbers and frequencies? The update that was just posted doesn't have anything like that.

There was just one frequency update that was submitted today. That is the one that I updated.
