I have programed this EDACs sytem into BC 780 XLT and mostly what I get is data channel noise. I've not played with EDACS before. Also, what do you do when they list 4 transmission sites. Do you program each one as a separate Trunked EDACS sytem? 2 of the 4 are close by.
Thanks ahead of time for any advice.

what to do

Yes, each of those four sites need to be in separate banks in the 780xlt.
Make sure you go through the motions of programming it in EDACS 800 mode and not one of the other trunking modes and enter the frequencies in order as they are listed in the database on this site. Once you get the frequncies loaded you also have to make sure the 780 is in "trunking" mode(there is a button that says TRUNK on it, I believe, and when it is in trunking mode TRUNK should show up on the display somewhere).
I haven't been able to listen for a while(my 480xlt seems to be dead in the water for some reason), but best I can recall, that's what you need to do...if you're still hearing the data channel, something ain't right and maybe somebody here w/ more knowledge than myself can get you going...
