Have not been on here for maybe a year. What's the latest on Utah switching to a new trunk system? Word was they were going to a new system so they can start encrypting everything. I hope that's a false rumor. Seems like it because the current system allows any TG to be silenced unless I'm wrong. Seems like a lot of the life flight helicopter TGs are off limits. So if they can can do that than I'd have to think any department or any portion of a department of even a single TG can be scrambled at any time with the current system. And even for a one conversation temporarily if they wanted to.. Am I right? I hope they don't nix this post because it's about encrypting, after all, it's not a complaint rant.
