I have a Uniden BCD436HP. Used to just head to the database and look up the places I'm interested in and set them. Seems as if everything has changed. I search the database for Duvall (looking for Duvall FD and Duvall PD) and find nothing. Nothing for Carnation, etc. I tried setting my zip in the scanner and set it to 20 miles. All I hear is Everett PD, Marysville PD, Snohomish FD, South Snohomish Sherriff. Not a lot else. For someone who is mainly interested in Fire and LE for around me (I live between Carnation and Duvall. Inside Duvall FD limits just on the outskirts. Served by King County Sheriff but interested in Duvall PD. What do I do? I do have Sentinel setup, but only find generic stuff for King County. I kinda miss my BR330t Help?

King County is on the PSERN P25 Phase 2 system, Duval is listed in there.

I looked in that system and there is one interop TG for Duvall in PSERN, the OP has a valid point, he is looking for Carnation and Duvall FD and PD, not interop TGs. There are police departments in each city, but no mention of them in the RRDB and @gregma is asking if anyone can help identify the frequencies or system they are on.

I did find some of what I was looking for in the PSERN (thank you!). However, as you said, nothing for Duvall PD or Duvall FD. I did see some Duvall FD listed in the DMR and NXDN Digital Frequency Search page. Does that matter?

I'm not in WA I don't know what they are using, and it is possible they are using DMR or NXDN, though I didn't see an FCC license for it. However, one big difference between RR database and the Digital frequency page is the RR database submissions are listener verified. We have a college near me that was listed as using DMR in the Digital Frequency Search page, because they held a FCC license for it, but it was over two years before they started to use DMR radios.

I haven't purchased the DMR or NXDN codes yet. I think I'll hold off until I know for sure if that will do anything for me.

Did a quick search for Duval and all that popped was the fd. Either pd does not have a license in its name or they are trunked somewhere. Is this a large pd or a small town pd?

Program the freqs in and see what you get. If digital, then have a look at this video and try to narrow it down.

It's a very small town, 3 or 4 patrol vehicles at the most. Where did you find the FD? I see one listing for the misspelled "duval" and it just had "CityWide".

I am in Snohomish County, so I don't know 100% how the agencies are set up down there, but I believe Duvall PD is still dispatched on Redmond PD (TG 1159) and can be heard as the "David 8xx" units.

As for Duvall FD, I think they are dispatched through the NORCOM fire talkgroups.

"Seattle/Eastside" and "North King County" are probably going to be the strongest sites to program in for your location. One might give a better signal than the other, so experiment with it and see what works best for your location.

Keep an ear on 2049 and 2051 PSERN as those are currently active.

Duvall PD is thru Redmond PD Dispatch (or has been in the past)
Duvall Fire is thru NORCOM Fire Dispatch

Not seeing those two talk groups, but I am seeing some others. Redmond PD and NORCOM Fire Dispatch 1. Left it running overnight on ProScan. Thanks for the heads up!!

I think I'm all set. I believe I found Duvall PD which is on Redmond dispatch. Haven't heard a call to Duvall FD yet, but they were on Norcom when I left the department, so I'm thinking they are still there.

I’m feed provider for PSERN but my primary interest is the Redmond area so I’m pretty familiar with the TGs used.

Police is typically on Redmond PD (David-8) and NORCOM Fire Dispatch 1 for fire (which covers a lot more than Duvall). You may also pick up occasional Duvall events on KCSO N if the sheriff’s department is dispatched.
