Beer Run

Just heard a brief chase on TPD North district. An authoritative voice came on and said "IF THAT'S JUST A BEER RUN, TERMINATE".

The car pulled over at 15th and Fulton.

I'm assuming, the perps had stolen beer from a store. Is that right or is a beer run some cryptic code?

You're right, just petty larceny of some suds. Some TPD supervisors are strict about when to chase a suspect, it's pretty common to hear them ask the reason for the pursuit. I recall a GID captain barging on air 15 minutes into a chase one night demanding to know why the pursuit was started... The response was "because he ran!"

I was thinking maybe it was a black Trans Am trying to draw the fuzz away from a semi full of the good stuff..
