Beginning with Scanner, your advices

Hi,

I am beginner in scanner and I would like to purchase one scanner. I am hesitating between an Uniden SCE 230-E and a Yaesu VR500.

The SCE230 starts from 25Mhz to 1300 Mhz but seems not being continous and the Yaesu is more expensive but from 100 Khz to 1300 Mhz.

Which one will you advise for me ? I would like for exemple to listen the ISS (internationnat station in space).

Is there something interresting between 100 Khz and 25 Mhz or do you think the Uniden 230 is enough ?

I think I will have again a lot of questions

I saw also the ICOM IC-R20, but it doesn't have the the close call function.

What is your opinion ?
