I was recently in Bell County for a few days and was monitoring both with a SDS200 along with a truck channel monitor. I already submitted a few additional TGs that I heard to the database-hope that helps.

One challenge I noted was that it appears that almost everyone is dispatched via Bell County 911 Center, and they issue each agency a block of radio call sign numbers presumably to keep their CAD clean. With only a number, it makes it hard to determine to know which agency they are with when you are monitoring...or determine who some of these other talk groups belong to.

I started a list of radio call signs below and tried to assign each to an agency. Anyone from Bell county that monitors please take a look and provide any corrections or additions:

200s BELTON PD
300s TEMPLE PD
400s TEMPLE PD
500s TEMPLE PD
800s UMHB PD (UNIV MARY HARDIN BAYLOR)
1100 TROY PD
1400 UNKNOWN - BELL LAW EAST - KILLEEN AREA?
1500 BELTON ISD PD
1800 NOLANVILLE PD
2100 BELL COUNTY SO? - KILLEEN AREA
2200 BELL COUNTY SO
2300 BELL COUNTY SO
2500 BELL COUNTY SO (PRISONER TRANSPORT?)
2700 BELL COUNTY SO/FIRE MARSHALS?
2800 UNKNOWN
3000 KILLEEN PD
3100 KILLEEN PD
3200 KILLEEN PD
3300 KILLEEN PD
3400 KILLEEN PD
3500 KILLEEN PD
3700 UNKNOWN
4300 KILLEEN ISD PD
4700 UNKNOWN - BELL LAW EAST
5400 HARKER HEIGHTS PD
5500 HARKER HEIGHTS PD
5600 HARKER HEIGHTS PD

I also heard some units coming up as "33C", "35C", and "55R" on Bell Law East...no idea if I was mishearing their call sign or not.

I also do not see any constable units on my list...

55R is Rogers PD. I have always wondered about the C units.

Correct, 55R is Rogers PD.

"C" units are Constable and Constable Deputies. Example: 20C. But most of the Constable deputies have had their radio callsign changed to 4-digit numbers such as 1402.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a list published online about unit numbers. That's some mighty fine work you have worked up.

I believe the unit numbers are to keep the CAD or system or radios clean and easy to read. But honestly, I couldn't say. What I will add is that some department have their badge numbers appended or will use a different radio callsign than a badge number. Killeen PD operates that way where they append "3" in front of their badge numbers. Harker Heights PD uses radio call signs based on their shift and those do not match their numbers. And lastly, there are some instances, although not common, where you unit numbers that are similar across agencies. Example: Killeen 454 and Temple 454 are different units. Also, a few of the Volunteer Fire Units have unit numbers that are similar to Police units if you only look at the numbers. Example: Central Bell (VFD) 501 and Temple PD 501.

Thanks for the info on the constable units. Never crossed my mind.

I submitted an update to the P25 db showing the new TG lineup. I'm not sure when the multiple constable channels were updated. But there is a constable main, which is monitored by dispatch. And each of the 4 precincts most likely have their own TG. I know for certain Pct 3 (4700s units) had their own TG and it used to be 50409 on ProVoice EDACS. I believe they are same TG on P25 Phase 1.

Some notes on the FD/EMS side

this is from several months ago when I was in town for a few days, so this may not be 100% due to a limited time slice of listening

personnel for each VFD appear to get a 50 number block for call signs

Sparta VFD: 750-799, apparatus use 70s, Heard a Squad 73
Troy VFD: 250-299? 285, 296 confirmed
Rogers VFD: 450-499, 453, 478, 487 confirmed
Bartlett VFD: 650-699, 664,679,690 confirmed **this overlaps with Sparta...
Holland VFD: 550-599, 573 confirmed, heard both a "Brush 1" and then a "Tender 4-5-5-4" so no idea what is going on there...
Little River Academy VFD: 350-399, apparatus start with 1 (LRA squad 1 rescue 1
Moffitt VFD, only heard a Rescue 11
Morgan Point Resort - 600-649, apparatus use 60s (620, brush 61)
Central Bell County - 500-549, apparatus use 50s (501, 506, 508, engine 51, rescue 51)
SW Bell County - 700-749, apparatus start with 1 (SW Bell engine 1, engine 2, booster 3, rescue 6)
Salado FD - 300-349, apparatus start with 1 (Salado command 1, rescue 1, engine 2...)
Belton FD 200-249, Belton Engine 1, Quint 2...
Temple FD 800-849, Temple Engine 1, Rescue 9...

That numbering never even crossed my mind, but it makes sense. I can't think of any examples I found that are outside the "50" block format.
I have seen common numbers in some of the VFDs like
Morgans Point VFD Squad61, Battalion 61, Brush 61, etc
Moffat VFD having Command 11, Brush 11
Central Bell County Fire and Rescue have Engine 51, Engine 52, Rescue 51, Command-51 or 501 and Command-52 or 502?
Sparta VFD having the Squad 73 and used to Engine with same number

I think some of the departments have a few of their trucks mentioned or photographed on their Facebook pages or social media, like Sparta and Morgan's Point come to mind. If I'm being honest, I feel like the taxpayers fund the equipment, then the taxpayers should be in the know. But that's my own $0.02.
