I have a BC250D scanner and listen to the Bell Fleetnet system in Ontario Canada can someone tell me why I keep getting these bogus id’s come up 7xxxxx series and all you hear is the control channel noise and the scanner locks onto this and stops scanning, is there a way to get the BC250D to stop doing this. It seems to get worse when the are doing maintenance on the system. ????

I've seen this as well. Best I can tell the scanner sometimes confuses a radio affiliating with a talkgroup as an I-Call or sometimes even a talkgroup. My BC780 and BCT8 both do it from time to time as well.

Thanks Fort for your reply, I was not aware that the bc780 and bct8 do this also, I guess it's just a fluke that this happens, at least we can trunked track this system could be worse.
