Hi all,

The database has Belleville's two fire frequencies broken up as Station 1+2, and Station 3+4. There are six stations now, so I assume these names were done many many years ago before they were built. What's the current channel configuration and use between the two frequencies?

I still only know of the five stations. However, their radios are divided into “URBAN” and “RURAL”. “URBAN” is used for Stations 1 & 2.

According to their own website, Station 5 is actually manned by Station 4 personnel. That would also explain why I’ve only ever heard page-out for stations 3 and 4. If there is, in fact, a station 6 I suspect it is in the rural area and operating on that channel.

If I do hear anything on the radio that indicates station 6 I will certain update my post.

Can you confirm what frequencies you are hearing Belleville Fire on? Is there talk groups or talk group id's?

The listings on RR database are correct, including the NAC code on URBAN. These are conventional P25 channels.

They do their paging on Hastings County M/A 153.830. I’ve heard paging for Rural Stations 3 and 4 as well as for callbacks, FPO’s etc in the city.

Ok, thank you. I have that info programmed so it must just be a range thing for me. I do hear them once in a blue moon but not with any regularity.

I’m west of Trenton and the Urban is hit and miss. Rural is mostly miss.

They do conduct radio checks every morning at around 0805-0810 hrs. Super-annoying, if you ask me. They probably should’ve given that up in the 80's, but I digress.
