Specific to a SDS100 belt clip this might work for other manufactures. Link is to the Panduit product I used.

The purpose is to have a surface the finger does not easily slip off when pinching the clip. I didn't use it much because of the difficult of using the clip and only used it to secure in the car or radio carry bag. Originally used without trimming one side. If top edge of anchor was flush with the clips top edge mounting surface there was slight interference with button on radio during removal. Trimmed anchor to allow it to sit higher and no interference now.

For me it makes the clip easier to use for my intended purpose.

I'm familiar with those wire tie mounts.
I did something similar using some larger self sticking rubber feet I had in the parts bins. The only trouble was the sticky glue on the rubber feet did not last long before it fell off. I'd even cleaned it all good with alcohol wipes first.

I like your idea as I know the glue they use on the sticky pads on those tie plates is stronger than what would have been on the rubber feet I'd tried.

I have the same problem as you, especially when my fingers are dried out, they slip right off this clip.
Thanks for sharing the idea!

Thanks!
First attempt required removal of anchor while in place only 5-10 minutes during the try it out time. It took about that long to get the adhesive off the clip for round 2. I think it will easily stay in place for a long while.
