I understand that the Bergen Co. trunk system is built at Schaumburg. Anyone have any more info?

The building is up at police hq. It's not going to be years. Get your digital scanners ready.

Its not ready yet.

First off, I believe they are waiting for their new dispatch center to be built in Mahwah before its launched.

The PD hasn't purchased the hardware for implementation yet as far as im aware.

I wouldn't be surprised if they threw any local interested agencies in on their system when its done.

I know the majority of police agencies in Bergen County will NOT be joining the system. You'll see Bergen County PD and Bergen County Sheriff as the main law enforcement agencies on the system.

Typical. We will not join the system because it's the big bad county. After all having everyone on the same radio system would be a terrible thing to do. NJ and in particular Bergen Co. the land where interoperability is a bad dirty word.

You guys need to get a life. It works everywhere else even in other NJ counties. Stop your stupid kingdom mentality.

Aren't you folks a few miles from Ground Zero? Spen doesn't cut it

The radio system is enroute.

BCPD New UHF Trunked system

BCPD OEM reps were in Illinois all week reviewing the final inspection of equipment for the system. The new building at BCPD HQ shed that will be housing the equipment is finished and wiring has been run for the antenna and receivers. The new delivery of astro xts2500 portables have arrived and have been programmed for analog and digital use. I would expect the system to be up and running by 1st quarter next year and BCPD will be the sole user of it on a county level without the BCSD and BCPO partaking.

Right after all this is a county with 2 uniformed county police agenices, 1 county prosecutor.

Oh and a bunch of territorial people who do not want to talk to each other and heavens forbid remember that they are a few miles from ground zero.

It's funny how county radio systems are working not only in other states but wow actually in the State of New Jersey but the kings don't want it in Bergen.

The trunk system is being installed. Get out of the kingdom mode.

Well more work is being done. Construction is being done at Hq. for the new dispatch area.
The 472.325 freq. license saver is still on the air from Stag Hill in low power. It sounds like it might be a phase 2 transmitter with it's pulsing. No system id yet.

formally East Jersey part time south of the Border
the 471.125 is coming in alot better and the license was again updated because woodbridge is getting off some of the same freq that Bergen uses;
it looks like Bergen is getting ready to add/link up different sites like Carlstadt & Paramus with micowave,
