Im looking to start a conversation regarding the Bergen County database.... specifically the many duplicated frequency entries for towns who use common dispatch frequencies such as NORCON, PASCOM, and the South Bergen mutual aid network.
For example, the northern valley interboro towns all are dispatched and operate on common frequencies which are isolated in a subcategory in the database. However, all those towns also have the interboro frequencies listed under their own municipal databases. Obviously when this database is uploaded to sentinel, their are dozens of duplicate entries.
My question is, is there possibly a more user-friendly way to format the database? Currently I’ve been formatting my databases in excel, finding the duplicates, and removing them before uploading the newly formatted data to sentinel. Again, just looking to start a conversation for everyone’s benefit.
