I am monitoring 155.55000 which is said to BCME/OEM and they just called "Bergen County Communications" to say they are going "Signal 7-9"

Any idea what that means?

Does any one know a useful web site to see what all the signals mean?

Thanks.

Signal 79 - Hazmat incident

I don't know if thats what they were referring to because they might not use BCPD's signals. If you need the BCPD signals let me know I'll send them to you.

On some of the UHF Police Channels a signal 54 is sometimes heard with a request for a ME number (medical Examiner number) by police units how are they tied into the ME? or was it a signal 52?

on 155.550 sometimes hear that same '79' to hazmat units but hear police units and rarely the Juvenile Detention Center testing with 'County Police", but not mE units?
sometimes NJ SearCh & Rescue out of Montvale?

155.55 is also used in Westchester Co. NY. Is it possible that you heard them?

The ME does not have investigators in Bergen Co.

This tread started with a headline of BC Medical Examiner
Yes the code 79 appears to be a hazmat type call as i heard it on 155.55 as well as on County Police ch 11
yes - if i am in the right spot I can get Westchester county Police on 155.55
never said it was Search& rescue with a sig 79 but S/R I thought came up on 155.550 a long time ago as did the Detention Center

ANYWAY what is the ME freq?? unit numbers ? how does that unit work

Why is the medical examiner so hard to find? How do they contact them?
