Caught a new talkgroup not in the DB....TG 402. Was running ENC with RIDs 8011645 and 8014262. Looks like Sheriff allocation if anyone else can confirm with Unitrunker files.

Yes I saw 402 and 302 numerous times today as well. I have a 396xt so it automatically mutes enc. I don't have unitrunker so I can't help further. Just my 2 cents. Chuck.

The 300 TGs are the Prosecutors Office. I'm told they have 8 talkgroups of their own in addition to the RDF and IOP TGs and UCALL/TACS/NJUTACS conventional stuff in their APXs. However, the BCPO TGs are all ENC so I have them all locked out. The 402 popped as a Wildcard because I've never heard anything on it before.

All Sheriff tg's are from 401 - 408 all encrypted
rids for SO radios are all 801xxxx for portables 802xxxx mobiles, some 809xxxx consoles

They - the they as in Politicians - want to fast track the merger - the Police aren't too sad about it but its going to cost the County a lot of $$$, uniforms, and such, Many Correction officers think they are going to be Police officers - not- the County Executive/Freeholders think they will still have a say in the Police Bureau as it will be called - not - once the Sheriff becomes the overall head of the revamped organization , he can do whatever he wants and the freeholders wont have a say

regarding the RID's the numbering of portables for any department using the trunk system the 3rd digit will be a 1. For mobiles 2,7 or 8 the agency is usually the first 2 like Ridgefield 4910502 49 is Ridgefield (towns are programed using the NCIC prefix) 1 portable, 0502 individual ID (502 is a special Officer for them) so if a town like Rutherford shows up on the system the first two id numbers would be 56xxxxx Palisades Park is 45xxxxx which they have....
