Beginning today, the Tri-Boro South area of Bergen County (New Milford, River Edge, and Oradell) have undergone major changes in the steps to becoming narrow-band compliant with the FCC. All updates have been completed today and are as follows:
Tri-Boro South Fire Dispatch (dispatched by Central Dispatch of Ridgewood) is now 154.1600 MHz, pl 82.5, and NARROW-BAND (aka 12.5 split). This change alleviates the long-lived interference from Hamden, CT that operates on 154.1600 MHz, pl 107.2 (the former pl used by Tri-Boro South).
All fireground channels have also been updated for narrow-banding. They are as follows:
New Milford: 153.8150 MHz, pl 107.2
River Edge: 155.1450 MHz, pl 114.8
Oradell: 154.8375 MHz, dpl 162
